Fly High

There is no job too big for Sam’s Signs. Recently the Sam’s Signs crew acquired a project with the Oakland airport. Our job was to install vinyl adhesives on an executive, business class, private jet. At a whopping two hundred feet long, boom lifts were necessary for the installation. There was a large demand for timeliness, and professionalism, and we were up for the challenge. With an installation crew of only 4 people, under a time crunch of less than one day’s time, Sam’s Signs managed to get the job done successfully. We hope to gain new opportunities at this scale, there is no canvas too big.

Titos

Established in 1965. The Titos Mexican cuisine has been a staple of Bayfair’s local restaurants. It had initially served as a diner prior to it being a cantina and restaurant duo. Titos has been able to serve the community successfully for so long, but it was finally time for it upgrade it’s signage needs to attract a larger passing audience. Titos ordered a custom, neon, channel letter, blade sign. A fancy way of saying a 3D, illuminated sign. The features included 2 neon colors, and LED illumination. The sign created a professional appeal, and so many customers captured the new sign through the night time ambiance. It was a special moment for owner Mike. He was just as happy as us to introduce his business with a fresh start.

Channel Letters

Many national chains, such as grocery stores and restaurants use channel letters. They provide a professional aesthetic with visibility from a far range. They also help to build brand images that become familiar with the public.  Channel letter signs can come in illuminated, or non illuminated forms and are made from aluminum, acrylic, or metal materials. Often illuminated signs are lit with LED lights, and sometimes neon lights, both of which grant a beautiful night time appeal to passing audiences.

A Frames

Often times, business owners, and retail providers seek easy, affordable advertising and brand display. The goal is to reach a large, target audience, and attract new customers.

We may notice sidewalk displays as we walk through our favorite downtown city areas, and we briefly stop to read what the message states. Whether it says “sale on entire store,” or “new cinnamon almond milk coffee,”  sidewalk signs are able to attract walking pedestrians efficiently. Sidewalk signs are better known in the professional world as A Frames, or Sandwich Boards.  They’re both easy to install, and store, and their use is not limited to outdoor display alone. Restaurants, or cafe’s will display their menu, or specials inside using A frames.

A frames are created from a heavy duty plastic material, or powder coated metal. The digital media graphics posted on the sign are weather resistant, and with proper storing can be preserved for a long time. The sign is incredibly durable and within seconds, you begin to advertise your business. As soon as your business nears closing hours, all you need to do is fold your A frame sign, and store it for the next business day. Its that simple.

Halo Lit

Also known as reverse channel letters, Halo lit lettering creates a refined, contemporary look. Typically LEDs and sometimes neon creates the “halo” effect.” The installation process involves using spacers to create a gap between the rear of the letters and the surface from which it protrudes. In this way, the light will exit through the gap. The typeface is usually made from a plastic, acrylic, aluminum, or metal material. Depending on which material being used, it will affect the different degrees to communicate lighting sophistication.

Sam’s Sign completed a halo lit sign for Pacific Motor Inn located in the peninsula area. The surface on which the sign was installed was wrapped, using a scenic view of the ocean to set the tone for the light projection. The project definitely captured an alluring look.

Custom Vehicle Wraps

Sam’s Signs recently completed a full, matte finish, custom vehicle wrap on a Tesla Model X. The Gun Metal matte metallic, in Avery vinyl gave the Tesla an almost futuristic look, given the gullwing doors we worked with. The Tesla aesthetic by nature is a simple, modern, and classy look. Totally transforming from a glossy black to a mattified finish gave this Tesla a whole new, original vibe.
